Well hello, GOLP readers! Sierra from Style on the Line, here! When contemplating what to write this feature on, I turned to the followers on my personal blog. One consistent question I’ve been asked is how to transition pieces from summer into fall. The most fashion-savvy people I know recycle items from their closet all year long and now so can you with these simple tips! I’ve highlighted four different trends you can expect to transition into the upcoming cooler months:
1. Military/Camo

Blair from Atlantic-Pacific is always spot-on when it comes to the latest trends. Pick up your own camo jacket and belt it over a summer dress for an easy transition to fall.
2. Knit Tweeds

Who hasn’t been wearing maxi skirts all summer long? This is a great summer piece to throw a cozy knit sweater over, add some cute booties, and viola!
3. Peplum

Peplum has been everywhere this season, so make good use of the pieces you already have. Julie pairs her peplum top with some fall-friendly trousers and heels. I would also recommend this with a sassy pair of leather pants for a night out on the town!
4. Lace

Lace dresses, tops, skirts, you name it… are in every store and they are not going anywhere for fall. I styled this lace dress with a versatile vest and neon belt and flats for a comfortable day at the office. Lastly, be on the lookout for floral, black leather and all-white ensembles in the fall forecast! Hope these tips have helped and be sure to say hello over at my personal blog, Style On The Line! Until next time… S

Hi! I’m Sue from The Zhush and here today to talk about one of my favorite ways to accessorize and personalize a space…books! It’s so easy to create a chic vignette or two in your own home, most likely using books and objects that you already own. A stack of books with a pretty little object or tray is one of my favorite looks for a coffee table, as evidenced by my own instagram feed lately. These are just a few of my favorite books to accessorize with, my list could literally go on for days.
1. Chanel // 2. Details // 3. Hue // 4. Vogue Living // 5. Southern Style // 6. The Little Dictionary of Fashion
And, if you’re looking for some fun little accents like the gold wishbonen as seen here, check out my shop! Thanks so much for having me GOLP! Xo - Sue

I’m also loving the Elizabeth and James Benedict Sunnies. What trends are you loving this summer?! Be sure to stop by my blog to say hello and you can also follow me on Pinterest and Twitter! Hi, there! My name is Caitlin, blogger behind Reverie to Reality. A few of you m ay know that I came to Chicago a few days ago to intern for Jess Constable of Makeunder Your Life and Jess LC as well as The Everygirl. I’ve only been here a few days ,and already I can say without a doubt that Chicago is one of the most inspiring cities in the world. With so many neighborhoods to explore, shops to seek out, and restaurants to try, there is rarely a dull moment around these parts.
I find myself inspired even by the little things. Take for example, my Saturday spent at Molly’s Cupcakes catching up on work:

Upon viewing this photo, I became completely inspired by the captured color palette. Suddenly I was picturing this:

The day served as a great reminder to pay attention to your surroundings, because inspiration will not always slap you upside the head. Sometimes it is as quiet as a coffee and a cupcake on a Saturday. A huge thank you to The Girls of Lincoln Park for having me on the blog today! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! - Caitlin
