1. Nail Polish Color:

Danielle: For my last manicure, I tried out Canyon Coral from Essie. I love it for spring. Fiesta is another favorite summertime pedicure color.

Carly: I’m a minimalist - I love Mademoiselle or anything in that color family. I always wear canyon coral on my toes.

2. Bucket List:

Danielle: Traveling! Turkey, Greece and South America are next on my list. I would really love to take some time and permanently live in a foreign country.

Carly: Sounds like Skimm HQ is relocating - I’d like to live abroad again too! I would love to go to culinary school abroad. Whale watching in Alaska and an African Safari are also a to-do.

3. Currently Reading:

Danielle: The news, mainly. It’s hard to find time for reading for pleasure these days but I would love to get started on “By Invitation Only," the book written by the Gilt founders. It would also be nice to know why people rave over “Gone Girl."

Carly: All things Skimm but about to start the “Presidents Club."

4. Home Accessory Item:

Danielle: Mugs! I am a big coffee drinker and love deep round ones. They’re also sentimental for me. I still have the one that I used throughout college. My roommates and I each had one that dictated our personalities. A lot of late night papers were finished because of repeatedly filling that thing.

Carly: My glass bowls. I love to cook and I love my multi-sized glass bowls. I always feel like I’m on a cooking show when I use them. That’s the only thing about my cooking that feels somewhat professional.

5. If you could have dinner with anyone who is dead or alive, who would it be?

Danielle: George W. Bush, Coco Chanel, Hilary Clinton and Larry David because you need to mix up that crowd with some awkward humor.

Carly: Bill Clinton, Thomas Jefferson, Steve Jobs, and Oprah. I’d love to hear her announce them. Ryan Gosling, George Clooney or Mark Paul Gosselar (yes, really) can be my date.

6. What’s On Your Bar Cart:

Danielle: Vodka, olive juice and blue cheese stuffed olives. Ok - that’s more like my dream bar cart. These days it’s a mix of white wine, vodka, and champagne (for when good things happen — knock on wood).

Carly: White and red wine, elderflower because it makes anything taste good, and that good luck champagne. Not on my bar cart but should be is gin. I love gin & tonics.

7. Can’t Live Without:

Danielle: My sleep masks. Although I frequently have to.

Carly: Cinnamon rasin toast. My go to comfort food when I wake up and before I go to sleep. Oh and hershey kisses.

8. Top Three Beauty Products:

Danielle: Cetaphil as a daily cleanser, Bumble and Bumble thickening spray for my hopelessly straight hair, and Bobbi Brown tinted moisturizer which makes being pale easily flexible.

Carly: Concealer - I think I’m single handedly supporting Laura Mercier; mascara (really liking Mac lately); and bronzer because I do not handle pale well.

9. Coffee Table Staple:

Danielle: Skim milk - not just because it’s good branding. And cinnamon.

Carly: Sugar. I add it to everything. And a remote.

10. Motto:

Carly: "Everything happens for a reason." - Stolen from my Mom

11. Trend You’re Loving For Spring:

Danielle: Sun. It’s been greatly missed. And the black and white mix. It’s easy to wear and always looks chic.

Carly: I’m grateful flats are in because I’m terrible walking in heels. The brightest color in my closet is navy so I’m happy black and white is back.

12. Scent:

Danielle: 212 by Carolina Herrera

Carly: I don’t have one go-to.. I always use samples and the ones I like are usually from Fresh.

13. Chicago Restaurant:

Danielle: Gibson’s. I’ve been going there forever and used to work there in the summers. And Piccolo Sogno is a new favorite.

Carly: Pancake House because it’s life changing.

14. Must-Download Apps:

Danielle: Songza because I like music that fits my mood. I’ve also been using Sleep Cycle to track how much sleep I get. It’s not a lot these days but it’s interesting to look at. Also, Pulse is great to keep track of all those news sources out there.

Carly: Songza & Uber

15. Magazine:

Danielle: Vanity Fair - hands down. Travel staple, monthly staple.

Carly: Vanity Fair to feel smart, Us Weekly to zone out, InStyle to pick out clothes.

16. Pinterest Board:

Danielle: Sad to say that I’m not really on Pinterest but I definitely get lost in the home makeover sections.

Carly: Anything cooking related or for office makeovers.

17. What Every Girl Should Have In Her Closet:

Danielle: A signature bag - something that is versatile and can go from day to night and large enough to fit everything you need.

Carly: A good navy sweater and a classic pair of ballet flats.
