What Inspires You? Design Spotting With Dyson Design

Happy Monday! Today we’re continuing our design spotting series with Dyson Design! Do you recognize good design when you see it? Today we’re sharing our last four tips on how to get the most of what’s around you!

6. Antiques: What’s old can always be made new again! Flea markets like the Randolph Street Market are perfect places to find hidden treasures that just need a little TLC. Be on the look out for pieces that are easily transferrable to your modern day style. Refurnishing chairs is actually one of the easiest ways to add a pop of color or incorporate a bold print into your home.

7. The Headboard: Whether you prefer upholstered, tufted, or iron, the headboard is a classic design piece that will most definitely help your bedroom make a statement.

8. Books: Books! Yes, we said it. They’re not going anywhere. In fact, they are one of the BEST places to find inspiration. Read them, invest in them and display them. Some of our favorite coffee table books include 100 Years of Fashion Illustrations, Design Sponge at Home, and Vanity Fair Portraits

9. Landscapes/Architecture: Last but not least, we live in an awesome city. From downtown to Lincoln Park, pulling ideas from buildings, parks, landscapes and architecture is one of the best ways to get inspired.
