Guest Post - Feed Me Phoebe
Happy Monday! Today we have a very special guest post from our good friend and NYC-based food writer/private chef/cookbook author (yes, she’s a woman of many talents), Phoebe Lapine! You may remember Phoebe from her previous blog, Big Girls Small Kitchen, but Phoebe has recently launched her own new website and food blog called Feed Me Phoebe! If you like to cook and try new recipes, most definitely add Phoebe to your daily reads. Xo! - GOLP

Hello lovely GOLP readers! I’m Phoebe from the newly launched, and appropriately named, food blog Feed Me Phoebe. Since you all will soon be inhaling lots of Fall fashion, I thought I’d keep summer alive for the remaining week we still have it, with some easy BBQ ideas for Labor Day weekend. I have a long-standing tradition of getting together with a group of friends at my parent’s house on Martha’s Vineyard. We dip, we bake (in the sun), we bocce, and boy do we eat. Whether you’re skipping town in favor of the lake or sea, or staying close to home with a group of friends, I’ve compiled a weekend menu of some of my favorite low-key recipes to make those last few days of summer count in your kitchen.
Grilled Flank Steak with Gazpacho Sauce

Spiced Corn and Tomato Succotash

Shrimp Lollipops with Basil Pesto

Serve the Pico de Gallo with a side of tortilla chips as a late afternoon nibble, followed by this easy breezy Shrimp skewer appetizer. Fire up the grill and get all your veggies charred and smoky for this healthy and delicious take on ratatouille. Then, what’s an end-of-summer BBQ without a little red meat? Serve the steak as part of a buffet spread with the ratatouille and corn succotash. Break out a pair of those nice white shorts for the last time, and enjoy! Be sure to stop by Feed Me Phoebe to say hello! Thanks for having me, girls! - Phoebe
