Happy Monday, readers! Today we are kicking off a week long wedding series. To get us started, we have Julia from the Urban Slant. Enjoy! - GOLP

Happy Wedding Week GOLP readers! Julia here from the lifestyle blog The Urban Slant, where I am also an associate at a boutique wedding planning company in Manhattan, ever swoon. I’m so honored that these fine ladies asked me to kick off the party! So much time and planning goes into your big day, that it can feel like a whirlwind. Sure, the flowers and the cake are important, but they don’t last when the dancing ends. I’m a firm believer that you should invest in a fantastic photographer. When you have a good photographer, your big day never has to end. You can relive the smiles, laughter, the white dress and all the happy moments when you have beautiful photos to look at. Tamra, my dear friend and the genius behind ever swoon says, “a good photographer can capture the most amazing moments and you would not remember they were even there”.

Trust me. Don’t cut back on a good photographer — it is the biggest memory of your big day. Move over bound books and sharpies! Another way to remember your big day is by having a unique guest book. It is such an easy way to interact your guests and add some creative flair to the day. These are some of my favorites.

Thank you so much to everyone who came out to our night of style and beauty at Cynthia Rowley! We thoroughly enjoyed mixing and mingling among CR’s fabulous spring line with both our followers and friends! Favorite pieces to note: Cascading Bow Skirt, Poppy Bow Blouse, and the Dancing Dress. Lastly, If you haven’t had a chance to check out Trish McEvoy makeup yet, we highly suggest you do next time you are at Nordstrom! From her illuminators to bronzers, we truly loved our make overs done by makeup artist Lindsey Willis!

How amazing are these shoes?

We loved our CR attire! The dresses we chose definitely spoke to each of our personalities.
